Improved Description of Path Effects on Volcanoes Using Numerical Modelling Tools
Personal Project in NEMOH
My project consists on exploring how the inelasticity of volcanic edifice influences very long-period seismic signals and permanent deformation of the volcanic edifice. I will explore this by using numerical simulations for wave propagation through a complex medium with topography and inelasticities. In particular, we are interested in inverting seismic and deformation sources at shallow depths beneath volcanoes and in understanding the relationships between seismicity and deformation.
Scientific Background
I hold a Degree (Llicenciatura) in Mathematics. In 2012 I obtained my Master's degree in Advanced and Professional Mathematics with the final research project "Statistical inference and Malliavin calculus". Both at the University of Barcelona.
