The Risk Division of BRGM (French Geological Survey, Orléans, France) seeks highly motivated applicants for a 3-year-PhD student opportunity (Early Stage Researcher) starting from late 2012 within the framework of the European project NEMOH: Numerical, Experimental and stochastic Modelling of vOlcanic processes and Hazard: an Initial Training Network for the next generation of European volcanologists (FP7-PEOPLE-2011-ITN Marie-Curie action). The student is expected to work for the objective to improve our understanding of “the source and structural properties of volcanoes from the advanced numerical modeling and integration of field data”.
